Spot Weather Forecast Instructions

The spot weather forecasts produced by the Florida Forest Service are intended for use on prescribed fires and wildfires. These forecasts do not replace the general forecasts produced by the National Weather Service, but are intended to augment their forecasts. Forecasts currently cover the period from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Florida Forest Service uses information from the National Weather Service (Model Output Statistics products) to produce these forecasts.
